Going On |

I
thought that I would express this month how I feel that we can overcome our
grief and concerns following the tragedy of last month, and knowing that we are
at war.
When disaster strikes, few of us would refuse a call to serve those in need. In
the aftermath of natural disasters like tornados, hurricanes, floods, or
devastating fires, many rush to help in these situations. Most people including
myself, would ask our church leaders with faith "What would you have me
do?"
So the reaction to this direction is simple: "take care of, and love your
family." We never know what is going to happen in our lives, so it is
important that we are able to take care of our families and be as self
reliant as we can. In other words, be as prepared as you can.
It is important that we show love and concern for each family member. So many
homes show impatience, and rudeness towards one another inside the walls of
their home, but in public put on a good face. It is so important to our children
to feel secure and loved at home always. Let home be a safe haven from what is
going on in the world today.
Let's also take care of our neighbors, and those in need. Let's open our hearts,
and really look at what others need in their lives also. Let's
teach our children this, and let the future hold a brighter hope for loving
and caring for our fellow men.
In my beliefs, there is a scripture that states "And behold, I tell you
these things that you may learn wisdom, that ye may learn that when ye are in
the service of your fellow men, ye are only in the service of your God."
God Bless our loved ones.
