An Introduction
|
|
|
Dear Friends;
My name is Tom Osmond. I am the second oldest in the Osmond Family, and I am
hearing impaired. I have not been able to perform like my other brothers and
sister which caused me a great deal of frustration and sorrow in the past;
although I have always had many things to be thankful for.
I have always wanted to communicate with people like me who are also hearing
impaired. Now, my brother Alan has provided a way for me to do that through the
internet. He owns a server and has created a program called "Deaf-Net"
which I will be using. I am excited and I hope I can write some things that will
be of interest to all of you . . . and I hope you will write back to me. (need
Deaf Net e-mail)
I have enjoyed the song that says, "Don't Worry! Be Happy!" and I'm
adopting those words as my new philosophy.
I like the words of Abraham Lincoln when he said "A man is about as happy
as he makes up his mind to be."
Another favorite of mine is "When you fail to plan, you plan to fail."
Still another is "Do what is right, let the consequence follow."
I believe a good, positive attitude is the best "medicine" we can have
for
the problems we face in this life.
More next month.
Love,
Tom Osmond
