When
I read "Terrorists Hit America" in the newspaper, I could hardly
believe it but when I saw what was happening on TV (the planes hitting the World
Trade Center towers, the falling of those buildings, the Pentagon being
attacked, people being killed, chaos everywhere) I was thoroughly shocked by the
tragedy.
It reminded me of the jungle where innocent
lambs (people) were being killed by ferocious lions (terrorists). I do believe
they will be brought to justice in time.
In the meantime we must pray for the families and friends that are suffering
from the tremendous loss of their loved ones. I would like to assure them that
they will see their loved ones and friends again one day. Through the atonement
of our Savior, Jesus Christ, they will be resurrected. May our kind Heavenly
Father bless and keep them in a safe, happy place until we meet again.
I think it is interesting that before the terrorism, some people were trying to
get prayer out of schools. Now everyone is called to pray. Some problems existed
among different races. Now they are hugging and calling each other "brother
or sister." They are risking their lives to help one another. Real love is
being demonstrated.
When I mention "races" I don't mean trying to run to a finish line. I
am
talking about all the different types of people in this big, old world.
Now is the time for us to "go forward with faith" as our prophet has
told us to do. We need to be positive and to love and respect one another. We
need to be patient and work hard. We need most of all to keep God's commandments
and then we will receive His blessings and be happy.
God Bless America!
Love,
Tom
